Alex Lamoreaux and I worked coastal Sussex County in 25 – 30 mph winds this morning. There was very little offshore seabird movement and almost no birds at the Indian River Inlet. As we checked the Indian River Marina and Burton’s Island, we noticed a large flock of Brant – about 112 birds strong, which is the largest flock of Brant that I’ve come across in Delaware.
